What is openroutr?

A bike route planner you talk to. Say what kind of ride you want and it builds one — then everything stays editable by hand.

Three ways to build a route

  1. Describe it“60 km loop from Braunschweig, low traffic”. Then keep talking: shorter, flatter, add a bakery, avoid that road.
  2. Tap the mapSet a start, then more points. Drag the line to move it, drag a point to delete it.
  3. Import oneGPX, KML, TCX or FIT. It arrives fully editable, not as a frozen track.

Two dials that change everything

What we stand for

This is an early alpha. It runs on demo hardware, so a route takes a few seconds. Routes are suggestions computed from map data — they are not a promise that a path is open, legal or rideable. Check before you ride.

Compare another GPX, KML, TCX or FIT track on the map — it stays a line here, your route is untouched.

Report an error

Your report goes as a note to OpenStreetMap — the open map openroutr is built on. Other mappers fix it. That’s how you make the map better for everyone.
